Two weeks after beating Dinamo Bucharest 4-1 in their Europa League Group F match in Istanbul, the Galatasaray completed unfinished business by drubbing Dinamo 3-0 in Bucharest and marched majestically into the round of 32 with a commanding 7-1 aggregate.

Kewell on target for Gala

Galatasaray's Aussie star Harry Kewell scored the first of the Istanbul club's three goals midway through the first half and is clearly enjoying his second season with Galatasaray.

"It's good to play with good players. They are very hard-working and want to improve," Kewell was quoted as saying on the official website of the UEFA.

"We've got a great manager now and the players are learning a lot so only good things are going to come from this team.

"Rijkaard's given me confidence. You always have to prove yourself and he keeps you on your toes. If you are slacking he will let you know, but he tells you in a nice way."

Fenerbahce almost there

The Fenerbahce, who beat Steaua 1-0 in Bucharest a fortnight ago, were not as merciless. Nevertheless they still trounced Steaua 3-1 at the FB Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium in İstanbul for a 4-1 aggregate victory. Fenerbahce are not through yet, but they have one foot in the last 32

Besiktas disappointing

Reigning Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg picked up a comfortable 3-0 away victory against Turkish powerhouse Besiktas on Tuesday evening. All 3 goals were scored by Wolfsburg's Bosnian stars; Misimovic and Edin Dzeko. Dzeko said "The Besiktas fans were amazing. It was really exciting to play here. The atmosphere was something new for us. We played very well and we prevailed in most of the one-on-one situations."

Besiktas have collected only one point and sit rock bottom.
