Turkish soccer teams Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas climbed in the Club World Ranking of the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
Galatasaray climbed from 12th place to 10th, Fenerbahce moved down from 33rd to 35rd place while Besiktas climbed from 112nd place to 80th in IFFHS's current Club World Ranking which are based on performance of teams in games played between November 1, 2008 to December 30, 2009. Meanwhile, three other teams from Turkey's soccer league also climbed in the list: Sivasspor climbed to 184th place, Trabzonspor to 247th and Bursaspor to 291st. Fenerbahce and Galatasaray which hold the 1st and 2nd places in Turkey's major soccer league Superlig are also leading their groups in the UEFA Europa League. The Club World Ranking is a precise classification showing the real level of the clubs free of any subjective influence. It is the result of a profound analysis that allows IFFHS to fairly report the level of international performance for each country. Add this page to your favorite Social Bookmarking websites |
